Marketing Manager at Heinemann Americas Inc.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and coordinating internal/external advertising and communication campaigns for the Heinemann Retail Brand on cruise ships. The main initiative will be to create promotional plans and develop advertising campaigns to support sales objectives. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing customer attraction and satisfaction as a main priority; being the key contact between the Global Marketing Department, Product Management Department, and the Sales Team. As well as the Operations Manager on ship, to ensure achievement of sales and budget objectives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of the production of advertising campaigns involving specialized activities such as artwork, copywriting, and media placement within time and budget constraints
  • Development of a customer engagement portfolio incl. mechanics, content, touch points inside and outside the shop
  • Supporting business growth and development through the preparation and execution of marketing objectives and policies
  • Development of an activity planning tool and calendar (Campaign Management)
  • Implementation of all 2D and 3D brand elements, shop equipment, and advertising material
  • Oversee the development of Visual Merchandising concepts
  • Collaborates with the Sales Department to turn the categories into sales tools to effectively represent the brands, the products, and the marketing initiatives to their customer
  • Manages the point of sales material i.e. including budget, logistics, distribution, and assortment
  • Cooperates with the Activity Managers and Cruise Staff with planning and budgeting, production, and implementation of all in-store activities, including point of sales material and promotions
  • Regularly visiting Sales Teams onboard cruise ships
  • Source and Manage a full-service marketing agency
  • Able to travel 30-40% of the time.
  • Valid passport

 

Qualification and Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications
  • At least five years of relevant industry experience. Cruise retail a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of  building strategic, multilevel and teamwork relationships
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
